An Anglican Church in the heart of Brislington.
We are a very mixed bunch of people - different ages, different backgrounds and different preferences in how we worship. But we are bound together and moving forward in our desire to "grow together in God's love and share it"
The place in which we meet to worship is one of the few remaining historic buildings in Brislington, a medieval church, dating from the 14th century, and situated not far from the busy A4. It is an ideal setting for weddings, of which we have many!
Sundays there are three services, at 8am, 10am and 6.30pm, some more traditional, others less formal. And for children and young people there are services and activities on Sundays and during the week. Many activities, linked with the church and the community, take place in the Church Hall, a modern building opposite the Church.
Please continue to pray for the person God is calling to be our new priest. Jeremiah 29:11-12: "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you home and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you."
The Anglican Church in Zimbabwe has called on Christians around the world to focus their prayers this Sunday (27th April) on the critical situation in the country. It calls upon all Christians of every denomination in every nation to focus their prayers, in churches, halls, homes or wherever they are.
Bible Society Coffee Morning
Thanks to all who supported the coffee morning on 26th April and helped raise £160.
Special thanks to those volunteered to help: Belinda, Kate, Ro, Mario, Hazel and Dianne. Others were involved with the church workday but also supported us and many thanks to those who brought goods for sale.
Work Day
Many thanks to all who came to the recent work day, and to Greg and Betty who kindly gave us two boxes of cleaning materials.
The next work day is planned for 17th May.
Needed for fellowship groups
Do you have a DVD or a video of Chariots of Fire or The Lion, The With and The Wardrobe that you could lend to a fellowship group, please?
From Primary to Secondary School
The PCC has agreed to give out Scripture Union Booklets to the children moving on this year from West Town Lane and Broomhill junior schools to secondary school. The booklets cost £132 and we are asking for your help in paying for this. If you would ike to read one of the booklets or to give a donation, please contact Chris Kendrick

Jeremiah 29:11-12: "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you home and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you."
Annual Church Meeting
The APCM elected Christine Kendrick and Barry Arnold to serve as church wardens for the coming year. The meeting also elected Gill Sayers, Malcolm Thorne and Tracey Ellis to serve on the PCC and Rosemary Spada and Simon Bale to serve on Deanery Synod.
Christian Aid Week
Collectors are needed for our House-to-House main collection. If you are over 16 years, please consider contacting Hazel Roden (0117) 977 4508 to volunteer: perhaps by doing alternate houses with a friend or having someone deliver the envelopes or you to collect later.
You may prefer to raise money your own way: collecting at home with your friends will be much appreciated. Have a look at the Christian Aid website for some more ideas.
Sainsbury's Active Kid Vouchers
The Youth Committee is collecting Active Kid Vouchers from now until June.
Please help us to get some more equipment for God's Gang, Junior Choir, Toddlers and the Holiday Club. A collecting box will be at the back of the church.
Thank you

You'll have noticed, if you are a frequent visitor, that the site has undergone a significant redesign.
Actually, 'undergoing' would be more appropriate as this new design will be installed over the coming weeks. We hope you like the new look. All the same things are still there, but in a slightly different shape! This will give us more flexibility for future developments.
Please get in touch with any comments as this will help to maintain the site for the benefit of everyone.
We're starting to post weekly intercessions and sermons
